Meet Manasseh Githua: 18-Year-Old Multitalented Apprentice at Suss Ads

Manasseh Githua, an 18-year-old apprentice at Suss Digital, has recently completed his high school education at Thika High School, where he attained a B Plain. His journey into advocacy began early, with experiences in children's rights through volunteering with NGOs such as Save the Children, UNICEF, and Mtoto News. Manasseh's passion for humanitarian work drives his ambition to pursue International Relations, a field he believes will enable him to make a global impact.

Motivation to Join Suss NextGen Apprenticeship Program

In October 2024, Manasse showcased his leadership abilities by representing students as a panelist during the Suss NextGen Mental Wellness Outreach at Thika High School, where he left a lasting impression solidifying his place as a future Suss NextGen Apprentice.

Manasseh's interest in the Suss NextGen apprenticeship program was informed by the fact that the program's mission aligns with his skills and expertise in humanitarian efforts. The program's focus on improving students' lives through technology resonated with him, and he was particularly excited about the opportunity to work in the Marketing Department in his journey to being a corporate leader. His interests in marketing and public speaking made this department a perfect fit for his career goals.

Manasseh brings strong communication, advocacy, and project management skills to the program. He is eager to develop his strategic planning and digital marketing skills further during his apprenticeship. His assignment to the Marketing Department allows him to gain hands-on experience in a field he is passionate about while also facilitating the Suss NextGen program.

Speaking to Manasseh about his experience so far, he mentioned that mentorship has played a crucial role in developing key skills and refining his perspective while navigating the complexities of the corporate world. Exposure to different departments has also been enlightening, giving him a holistic view of how various functions within the company work together.

"Initially, adapting to the fast-paced environment was challenging. However, the support and guidance I have received has enabled me to adjust accordingly," Manasseh Githua said.

One of Manasseh's key projects involves spearheading the development of a multi-tech lab at his former high school Thika High School. This initiative combines his love for technology and education, aiming to provide students with the tools they need to succeed in a digital world. His contributions to this project have been significant, leveraging his previous knowledge and experience to drive its success.
